Hey - I help run some book swaps and if there are a lot of people I give out tickets - 1 ticket for softcovers and 2 for hardcovers. That way there's a better swap conversion.
Sometimes we put up big sheets of paper so people write and post some of their favorite books or guilty pleasures. It gets people talking and breaks the ice.
I help run a site called swapsimple.com - we do book, dvd and video game swapping, but we hold live swaps every month and they are so much fun. I hope this is helpful info
